Spanish LOPD (Data Protection Act)
The Kinamik Secure Audit Vault helps organizations comply with the following regulations:
  • Spanish Data Protection Act (LOPD) : Spain's Data Protection Act (or LOPD for Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal) has as main objective to regulate the treatment of personal data and its files, regardless of the media used for their storage. It also dictates the rights citizens have over their own data, and the obligations of people or organizations using that data. Within the broad aspect of the law, it explicitly states requirements of data protection, especially when dealing with "High Level" data, defined on Article 7 as "specially protected data". Article 103 mandates that this "high level data" must have an "access registry" (i.e. audit or log data related to access) secured up to the highest level of detail, with a retention policy of two years. The Kinamik Secure Audit Vault provides the highest level of detail when protecting audit data in real time, facilitating compliance with laws and regulations such as LOPD.
